Set up Email on Your Mobile Device

You can easily access your email from almost any mobile device. Select your mobile device or tablet platform.

iPhone/iPad
  1. Tap Settings | Mail, Contacts, Calendars | Add Account
  2. Select Microsoft Exchange
  3. Enter your email addresspassword and description  | Click Next
  4. After a moment another screen will appear. In the Server field enter:  outlook.office365.com
  5. Leave Domain blank, and enter your email address in the username field | click Next
  6. Choose which content you would like to synchronize: your mail, contacts, and calendars. Tap Save when you have made your selections.
Android

All Androids are not alike. These instructions will vary a bit depending upon the specific make and model of your Android.

  1. Go to Settings | Accounts
  2. Select Microsoft Exchange
  3. Enter your email address and password where prompted
  4. Select Manual Setup
  5. If prompted for a domain, leave it blank
  6. If you see a field for username or Domain\username, enter your email address
  7. In the Exchange Server field enter:  outlook.office365.com
  8. Click Next | OK on the Activation screen
  9. Tap OK on the Remote Security Screen (we do not use this, but android will prompt you for this by default)
  10. Configure your account options as desired
  11. Click Next, Enter NBS (or whatever makes sense to you) when asked to enter a name for this account
  12. Tap Activate on the “Activate device administrator?” screen. Please note: NBS will never use the capabilities of Office 365 to remotely erase all information from personal mobile devices. This message is displayed by default on all Android devices connecting to Office 365.
  13. Wait a few moments as Android syncs your mail, settings, and other data.
Windows Mobile
  1. Tap Start | Messaging | Setup E-mail.
  2. Enter your email address and password, and then tap Next.
  3. Make sure the check box Try to get e-mail settings automatically from the Internet is selected, and then tap Next.
  4. Your mobile phone will try to get settings from the Internet automatically. If this fails, tap Next. Otherwise go to step 8.
  5. For Your e-mail provider, select Exchange server, and then tap Next twice.
  6. Enter your email address (for example, kmoody@nai-nbs.com), and then tap Next.
  7. Tap in the Server box and enter outlook.office365.com for your server name.
  8. Enter your email address and password, and then tap Next.
  9. Select the check boxes for the types of items you want to view on your device, and then tap Finish.
  10. Tap OK if Exchange ActiveSync asks you to enforce policies on your phone.
