Norris, Beggs & Simpson Companies, LLC has been playing a major role in shaping the landscape of commercial real estate since it was founded April 1, 1932, in Portland, Oregon. Beginning as a property management and brokerage company repairing troubled assets during the Great Depression, our services soon expanded into mortgage lending as loan correspondents for major life insurance companies.

In more recent times, NBS Companies has expanded its geographic footprint and added investment management, consulting and market research divisions. NBS Companies is a firm with a long-standing reputation for honest, lasting and profitable relationships for all parties involved, and we have evolved through steady expansion of services for our clients.

Headquartered in Portland, OR, NBS Companies also has offices in Seattle, WA, New York, NY, San Francisco, CA, San Antonio, Texas and Bend, OR and is the holding company for five wholly-owned subsidiaries each with their own strategic partnerships, designed to serve our clients locally, regionally, and nationally.

Private Equity Investments – Morrison Street Capital, an SEC registered investment adviser, places investment capital nationwide on behalf of the Morrison Street Series of private equity funds. Morrison Street Capital is an active investor in small balance commercial real estate transactions in the forms of equity, mezzanine debt, preferred equity, B-notes and commercial mortgage backed securities. The company is currently focused on providing up to 10-year term mezzanine loans and preferred equity on multiple property types nationwide.

Real Estate Consulting – For real estate assignments that extend beyond making investments in real estate debt or equity, NBS Real Estate Consulting can assist in providing advice, planning and strategic guidance for complex projects.

Loan Servicing – Norris, Beggs & Simpson Financial Services is a leader in mortgage servicing. Our team manages a loan portfolio backed by office, retail, industrial, multifamily and hotel properties.  NBS loan servicers act as an interface between borrowers and lenders to keep loans on track for performance.  Our services include loan monitoring, accounting, property inspections, insurance and tax compliance/confirmations, and lender reporting.

Market Research – Morrison Street Research publishes periodic newsletters, special reports and white papers to serve clients of its affiliated companies, Morrison Street Capital, NBS Real Estate Consulting and NBS Financial Services.
